Welcome to Music as a Second Language.
Our purpose is to teach improvisation – the creative side of music. Our unique program will teach you to solo in the genres of rock, pop and blues. We explain, demystify and make accessible the practice of improvisation so that you can unlock your inner creativity and develop your own musical ‘voice’.
Our studio also hosts 'open jams' on the last Wednesday of every month. These jams are an opportunity to meet other musicians and play together in an informal setting. Come sing a song, strum a guitar, play some drums, and meet other players who want to do the same. All instruments and skill levels are welcome. Our studio is located at 842 Yonge Street, suite 200, just north of Yonge and Bloor. Admission is free.
